We are by no means and would never claim to be health experts at Screens Onsite KC but something that we have been concerned about recently is what could potentially happen when mosquitoes, ticks and other bugs that like to bite come out it full force this spring and summer and could they spread the coronavirus? While these pests have long been known to carry and spread certain diseases, our concern was that screened in porches, window screens, retractable screens, screen doors and any other type of screen may not be as tight as a drum after winter to keep unwanted bugs and insect out. After a bit of research, we found that the World Health Organization has stated that they believe mosquitoes, ticks and other insects CANNOT spread the coronavirus (see graphic below).

That is certainly some much needed good news but unfortunately mosquitoes, ticks, wasps and other pests will still be out in droves soon enough and if your screens have holes, tears, or gaps where the screen has separated from the frame, you’re essentially putting out a welcome mat for them to come in.
